I'm a pretty lucky girl to have such a wonderful husband. James has been great throughout my entire pregnancy (although really, my pregnancy has gone swimmingly so I haven't put him through much!). We're getting the nursery ready and my James has been so eager to get everything set up for me and baby. I won't go into details about the horror that was putting together our Ikea bookshelves, but let's just say it was a very good thing that most of the furniture came pre-assembled! Below are a few pictures of the nursery in it's very early stages... note the difference in light outside the window!

Thanks baby, for taking care of this so I don't have to worry one second about it!

"Got all of the pieces in order - I'm ready to build!" "This is a big book for so few parts."

All done! Where'd the sun go?!

This is one proud dad!

So it seems that a few people would like to see pictures of James and me from our trip to Mexico. James took me there for a week to celebrate my 30th birthday, as well as to take advantage of one last opportunity for us to spend some time together before the tot arrives. Note how pale and pasty we look... definitely time for a tan!

We had a great time doing just about nothing other eating and relaxing by the pool... just what we both needed. We stayed at Dreams Tulum, which I would highly recommend to anyone going to the Mayan Riviera. Everything about the resort was absolutely wonderful: the food, pools, beaches, food, entertainment, and the food was amazing!

The rest of the pictures are from the last half of our stay, once we were a little more tanned!

So this is pretty darn exciting... a few months ago (my last post), I said we didn't have anything exciting to share. Well things change and time passes and... James and I are expecting in June! It's unbelievable at the moment, especially since I've been lucky enough to not experience any morning sickness. But I heard the heartbeat last week so unless there was something desperately wrong with my diet, then there's a baby in there!

I'll get some pictures posted soon and will now start making regular entries... I need to capture this experience, as I'm sure it will be over before I know it and will all be a distant memory!

In the meantime, please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for our future family!!

Why we did this...

James and I love the idea of having a blog and keeping our friends and family up-to-date on all of the exciting things that are going on in our lives... however, we don't have anything exciting going on right now. Well, that's not entirely true. James' business is really picking up, which means I will be able to take time off! No, don't get too excited yet, but keep checking back to our blog, because as soon as something exciting happens, we'll be sure to post!
